The weekend of Saturday 10th May saw all four Welsh regions host their respective athletics championships across three venues in South, West and North Wales.
Elsewhere, there were other track and road races in Trap, Boncath, Aberdare, Brecon, Llangunnor, Loughborough and Millfield whilst the Urdd's primary schools cross country event returned to Aberystwyth as part of the annual festival.
Below are the Carmarthen Harriers club results from events held between May 10th and May 18th.
West Wales Regional Athletics Championships 2024 - Swansea University Athletics Track (Sunday 12th May)
The weekend of Saturday 10th May saw all four Welsh regions host their respective athletics championships across three venues in South, West and North Wales- (Aberdare, Swansea and Bangor)
The West Wales Regional Athletics Championships was held at Swansea University on Saturday.
It was open to athletes from the under 11, under 13, under 15, under 17, under 20 and senior age groups. Offering every track and field event, there was another big turnout of over 330 competitors from the region's clubs.
Sixty-three Carmarthen Harriers members took part in one of the major championships of the summer.
In total, 59 medals were won throughout the day and numerous personal or season bests achieved as the athletes took advantage of local competition opportunities.

Aeth cannoedd o blant cynradd i Gaeau Blaendolau yn Aberystwyth ar gyfer gŵyl chwaraeon flynyddol ysgolion cynradd Yr Urdd.

Trap Show Charity Run - Trap (Sunday 11th May)
At the annual Carmarthenshire Trap Show Charity Run on Sunday 11th May, Dylan Williams and Dafydd Williams were first and third respectively in the year 7 and 8 boys’ category over the 2.8 mile junior route.
Abercych 10K - Boncath (Thursday 15th May)
Emlyn Runners were the organisers of the local Abercych 10K on Thursday evening in Boncath. There was a one-two overall finish for Ifan Bowen and Steffan Davies in the Open Male category, recording times of 33:59 and 34:11 respectively.
Meanwhile, Huw Davies was the fourth male 50 over the line in 41:54.
Saturday South Wales Throws League - Aberdare (Saturday 17th May)
The second of three South Wales Throws League matches were back at Ron Jones Stadium in Aberdare.
Under 20 athlete Ffion Mabey competed in the discus (33.06m) and hammer (39.29m) - both new personal bests - whilst Ben Bowen began in the shot put circle (8.93m) and followed by 22.68m in the hammer.
West Wales Junior Open - U11/U13/U15 - Fixture 1 - Penlan Arena, Brecon (Sunday 18th May)
West Wales' division opening fixture of the season was held at Penlan Arena Track in Brecon on the second day of the weekend.
These open events gives the opportunity for athletes in the younger age groups (under 11, under 13 and under 15) competition at grassroots level.
Twenty-eight athletes travelled to Powys, competing in the vests of Carmarthen Harriers. It was great to see members from the club making their competition debut here, the U11's and U13's in particular.

Llangunnor 5K Fun Run - Llangunnor (Sunday 18th May)
Back in Carmarthenshire, runners turned out in Llangunnor for its annual 5K Fun Run including Junior Races.
Among those to cross the finish line were overall winner Joshua Barnett (17:23), 1st junior Jimmy Davis (19:08), Gethin Thomas (22:35) and Jasper Davis (22:40).
Loughborough International - Loughborough University (Sunday 18th May)
As part of the Loughborough International match, Jessica Lee competed as a guest in the women's long jump on Sunday afternoon 18th May. Her best jump of 5.85m was recorded in the second round.
British Milers Club Millfield PB Classic - Millfield School (Sunday 18th May)
The early season British Milers Club PB classic events headed to Millfield School in Street. In the mixed 3000m B Race, Amelia Williams clocked a time of 10:40.74 over seven-and-a-half-laps.
