The 2026 Dyfed Secondary Schools Athletics Championships will be held at Carmarthen Leisure Centre Athletics Track across two-days in June.
Monday 15th June (18:00-19:30) & Thursday 18th June (10:00-16:00)
Year 7, Year 8, Year 9, Year 10, Year 11/12, Year 13
Firstly, each of the four areas - Brianne, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Llanelli - will organise area championships during the month of May at Carmarthen and Haverfordwest with the top finishers (three from each area per event) invited to represent their area at the Dyfed championships.

The Dyfed Secondary Schools Athletics Championships will start on Monday evening (15th June) where the first 4 events of the 2026 championships will be held. These include 3000m and 1500m/2000m steeplechase along with the hammer and pole vault in the field.
The first set of events on Thursday 18th June will begin at 10.00am on the field and the track; hurdles heats at 10.00am. Events are expected to finish at approximately 3:15pm.
Event disciplines on the running track will be the 100m/200m/300m/400m sprints, sprint hurdles, 800m, 1500m, distance hurdles and 1000m walk. Long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot, javelin and discus will be contested on the field across all age groups.
