After events in Swansea and Neath earlier on in the summer season, it was the turn of Carmarthen & District Harriers to host the Welsh U11-U13-U15 Junior League - West Wales division at the Leisure Centre Track in Johnstown, Carmarthenshire over the weekend, Sunday 14th July.
In the third and final fixture of 2024, 260 junior athletes from seven clubs - Bridgend AC, Carmarthen Harriers, Llanelli AAC, Neath Harriers, Pembrokeshire Harriers, Swansea Harriers and TROTS - entered which offered every track and field event throughout the day.
Thanks to all the Welsh Athletics qualified officials, volunteers in the clubs, parents, first aid and ground staff who helped out during the day on the track, field and behind the scenes taking on various other tasks such as registration and refreshments.
Fifty-six athletes competed in the vests of Carmarthen Harriers on their home track. It was great to see so many members from the club making their competition debut here, the U11's and U13's in particular.
