The busy indoor period at the start of 2020 continues at the end of January in the Welsh Capital with the first of two Welsh Athletics Indoor Championships on consecutive weekends. The Welsh Athletics Senior Indoor Athletics Championships takes place on Saturday 25th January at the National Indoor Athletics Centre, Cyncoed Campus, Cardiff.
A host of champions, Commonwealth Games and top quality athletes will go head to head and all will be looking to claim glory and perform in front of an expected large home crowd that will gather at Cyncoed.
It's a busy time for the indoor track where the Welsh Athletics Junior Indoor Championships will follow seven days later at the beginning of February when it will focus on the young stars of the future.
The Welsh Athletics Senior Indoor Championships over the one-day competition will feature the 60m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 60m Hurdles, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot Put, Long Jump and Triple Jump for both men and women.
In addition, it will include SELECTED JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS EVENTS ON 25/01/20, which will be the 300m for under 15 girls/under 15 boys/under 17 women, 400m for under 17 men, 800m for under 13 boys and under 15 boys and 1500m for under 13 girls and under 15 girls. There will also be a 4 x 200m club relay for junior age groups.
