Welsh Athletics Road Relay Championships... Pembrey on 7th September

Welsh elite and club runners will be heading for one of Carmarthenshire's most popular parks in mid-September. Pembrey Country Park's Closed Road Cycling Circuit near Llanelli will again be hosting the Welsh Athletics Road Relay Championships 2024 this September.

Over a number of years, it has been held in Llandow and Ynysangharad Park, Pontypridd; before heading to the Park in West Wales from 2018.

The 2024 Welsh Road Relay Championships takes place on Saturday 7th September.

The event provides the chance for both established and up and coming endurance runners in Wales to compete in a competitive team format at the beginning of the autumn season.

Races include an individual primary school challenge, full junior programme, men's, women's, masters and a Run Wales event back for the third time.

 

TIMETABLE / AMSERLEN

11:30 - Primary Schools Boys (1,540m)

11:40 - Primary Schools Girls (1,540m)

12:00 - Under 13 Boys & Girls (4 legs of 1,900m)

12:40 - Under 15 Boys & Girls; Under 17 Men & Women (3 legs of 3,200m)

13:30 - Senior Men, Senior Women (4 legs of 5,400m)

13:30 - Master Men 35, 45, 55+ & Master Women 35, 45, 55+ (3 legs of 5,400m)
