Nominations have opened this week for the 2024 Actif Carmarthenshire Sport Awards.
Each year the prestigious annual Actif Carmarthenshire Sports Awards gives the opportunity to recognise and celebrate sporting talent that we have in Carmarthenshire from sportsmen and women, dedicated coaches and committed volunteers, all of which make sport happen right here in the county.
The awards are organised by Carmarthenshire County Council's Sport and Leisure Team and supported by a number of partners and sponsors.
As well as the Sports Personality of the Year Award, the categories include Young Sportsman and Sportswoman, Disabled Sportsperson, Community and High Performance Sports Coach, Sports Volunteer and Young Volunteer, Sports Team, Young Team, Club of the Year, Hall of Fame and Outstanding Services to Sport Category.
The countdown is now on to find the 2024 winners, which will be announced at a ceremony at The Ffwrnes Theatre in Llanelli in February 2025.
Please Note: Those eligible for an award must either;
- have been born in Carmarthenshire,
- be currently resident in Carmarthenshire
- be representing a Carmarthenshire Club or School in their sport if living in another county
Athletes, coaches & volunteers can be nominated for more than 1 award, however separate forms must be submitted for each category.
Actif are looking for achievements in all categories (with exception of Outstanding Services) from 1st September 2023 to 31st August 2024.
Nominations will close on Sunday 13th November
