All UK Youth Development League (LAG & UAG) fixtures cancelled for 2020

BREAKING NEWS: All UK Youth Development League North, Midland and South Lower and Upper fixtures in April, May, June, July, August and the finals in September 2020 have been CANCELLED/WEDI CANSLO.

- SUNDAY APRIL 26TH: U17/20 UPPER AGE GROUP - All Venues

- SATURDAY MAY 16TH: U13/15 LOWER AGE GROUP - All Venues

- SUNDAY MAY 24TH: U17/20 UPPER AGE GROUP - All Venues

- SATURDAY JUNE 6TH: U13/15 LOWER AGE GROUP - All Venues

- SUNDAY JUNE 21ST: U17/20 UPPER AGE GROUP - All Venues

- SATURDAY JULY 18TH: U13/15 LOWER AGE GROUP - All Venues

- SUNDAY JULY 26TH: U17/20 UPPER REGIONAL FINAL / PROMOTION MATCH - Yate/Aberdare

- SUNDAY AUGUST 8TH: U13/15 LOWER REGIONAL FINAL / PROMOTION MATCH - Yate/Aberdare

- SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 5TH: U13/15 LOWER NATIONAL FINAL - Manchester

- SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 6TH: U17/20 UPPER NATIONAL FINAL - Manchester

 

The West Wales U17/U20 Composite team (Pembrokeshire Harriers, Carmarthen Harriers, Llanelli AC and Neath Harriers athletes) were due to begin the season in Cheltenham on Sunday 26th April followed by hosting the second Midland Premier South/West Division match in their home region at Swansea University Athletics Track on Sunday 24th May.

The Midland Premier South/West Division in 2020 should have been made up of the following clubs: Cardiff Athletics, Cardiff Archers, Cheltenham and County Harriers, Swansea Harriers AC, Team Avon - Composite team & West Wales - Composite team. They were scheduled to compete at matches on the same day and the same venue in a double-header with the South/West 1 League consisting of East Wales - Composite team, Hereford & County AC, North Somerset AC and South Wales - Composite team.

At the end of the season, the league was set for the National Finals weekend at Sport City in Manchester over the weekend of 5th and 6th September, however this has also been cancelled alongside every league date.

Youth Development League Spokesperson: "In light of the continuing uncertainty around the coronavirus situation, the YDL management committee have decided regretfully that all matches scheduled for 2020 season will be cancelled forthwith. May we take this opportunity to thank you for your continuing support for our YDL teams and hope we can all have a successful season in 2021."
