2010 Carmarthen Town Sports Awards

Carmarthen Harriers won five awards at the Annual Carmarthen Town Sports Presentation evening at the Carmarthen Quins Club on Friday evening 22 January 2010

The Carmarthen Harriers Junior team won the junior team award and the award was presented to the club’s 2010 junior team captains Mathew Davies and Catrin Rees. The sponsor of the event EmC Services presented a cheque for £500 to the club to purchase equipment for the 2010 Welsh under 17/20 championships which will be held at the Carmarthen Athletics Track on 10 July 2010

Ffion and Erin Walters were the joint winners of the junior female award and Ralph Siggery the joint winner of the coach/volunteer award.

Dewi Griffiths was second in the junior male category and Caryl Jones third in the senior female section

Carmarthen Harriers are short listed in three of the categories at the Carmarthenshire County Council Awards presentation evening to be held at the Stradey Park Hotel on Wednesday 27 January 2010

Joan Goldsmith (volunteer), Dewi Griffiths (junior male) and the Harriers junior team have been short listed this year
