Welsh senior and 800m indoor athletics championships at the Welsh National Indoor Athletics Centre Cardiff on Saturday 23 January 2010

Carmarthen Harriers athletes won 8 medals at the championships. Five were gold, one silver and two bronze

In the 800m championships Nikita Neary under 13 boy won the gold in 2.23.77 and Jordan Richards the bronze in a time of 2.32.34. Rhys Granville won the under 15 boys championship in 2.14.11 and Angharad Davies the under 20 championship in 2.24.17

Gwenno Evans won the bronze medal in the under 13 girls race with a time of 2.44.29

Heather Jones won the senior ladies 60H with a time of 8.95 secs and Vicky Lloyd the triple jump with a performance of 11.01m

Caryl Granville recorded a time of 57.28 secs in winning the silver medal in the senior ladies 400m

Caryl has been selected for the GB under 23 combined events team to compete in Perpignon against France and Spain
