Carmarthen Harriers athletes have again been out on the road continuing their season's good form on the road and track. The opening summer athletics event of the year took place at Swansea University on Sunday 9th April with the Swansea Harriers Open Track and Field meeting on a pleasant afternoon and was a good chance to get some early practice ahead of the upcoming championships between April and August.

The Swansea open meeting offered the Sprint Hurdles, 75m/100m, 300m/400m, 800m, 3000m, Long Jump, High Jump, Javelin, Shot and Discus track and field disciplines. Around 400 athletes from across Wales entered and were in attendance over in Swansea and despite the number of those entered from the club, there were a number of Carmarthen vests out on show. Thanks to all the officials and volunteers who ensured the success of the open meeting.

Some of the below performances on the track are hand timed due to technical problems with the photo finish which occurred during the afternoon.
