On Sunday (08/05) The Harriers were well represented at the Carmarthen ParkRun Trial & Trap Fun Run down the road near Llandeilo.

The first Carmarthen Junior Park Run Trial was held on 8th May for 4 to 14 year old youngsters. A Successful first event and look forward to the next few months which will attract new faces to the ParkRun and club.

INFORMATION TO GET INVOLVED: The event takes place in Carmarthen Park, Morfa Lane, Carmarthen, SA31 3AX.

It is a 2k run for juniors only (4-14 year olds). It's free each week but remember to register before your first run. The aim is to have fun and join in whatever your pace!

The course is 2000m (2K) long. This has been accurately measured with a professional measuring wheel. The course is run on a mixture of tarmac paths and grass. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Marshals will be located along the course.

The course starts on the far side of the velodrome track by the viewing stand and heads north towards Picton Terrace for about 200 metres before turning right towards Morfa Lane. At the end of this path by the Tea Shop you double back towards the velodrome and do half a lap of this before dropping down onto the rugby pitch and running anticlockwise around the perimeter to the viewing stand, back up to the tarmac path, turn right and round the other end of the velodrome to finish the lap near the start line. This is the 1km mark and then the course is completed again in the same direction.
